   Kevin Kirkland is a local business owner, with over twenty years experience in agriculture, landscape design, and sales. Kevin's dedication and drive to grow his business has resulted in the largest nursery and landscape company in the area- Southern Nurseries, and Southern Lawn & Landscapes, LLC.

   A 1993 graduate of Silsbee High School, Kevin worked as a teenager for a local landscaper, where he learned the business. In 1998, Kevin started his own landscaping business, and with its success and growth, opened Southern Nurseries in 2005-2006. Southern Nurseries present 7 acre location in Silsbee opened in 2012, and has enjoyed year over year growth.

   Southeast Texas businesses and residential customers have proudly partnered with, and supported Southern Nurseries, and Southern Lawn & Landscapes, LLC, which have been recognized by the BBB and TNLA.

Here at Southern Nurseries my job never ends, I order products, plants, speak to representatives and customers from various locations, and keep everything running smoothly. In my free time I love spending the day with my nine grandchildren. When I am not spending time with my family, I enjoy peaceful walks in the woods, geocaching, and taking the road less traveled.

   I've been working here at Southern Nurseries since December 2018 while I pursue an associates degree at LIT. I specialize in houseplants and I am working on learning about the chemicals we offer. In my downtime I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and watching movies.

   My favorite holidays here at the nursery are Halloween and Christmas.

I have fourteen years of experience in the outdoor power industry. I really enjoy learning about all of the different types of plants and trees that we have at the nursery, and I love to hike and explore the different parts of the country.
